Cool photos

My grandma gave me these photos a few years ago, and today I scanned them into the computer, so I can play with scrapping them. I especially love the one of me and my mom, even though I was clearly not the cutest baby! But because I was a spoiled baby, I was very beautifully dressed!
And this photo of my grandparents is my all-time favorite photo of them. This is actually their wedding picture, and they both look so fantastic, and so very happy. This photo was taken in 1950, and the one of me and my mom was taken in 1976.
This is the only wedding picture I have of my parents, and though my mom looks beautiful, I'm glad these hats were not in style when I got married! And I think my dad wore that suit for the next ten years!
I can't wait for the November Jenni Bowlin kit, it looks like it would look great with these black and white pictures.

What a happy Halloween!

Sofia had a blast trick-or-treating for the first time, and she's nearly perfected saying "thank you" and "good-bye" when given candy! And she only tried to enter one home, and in her defense it looked exactly like ours from the outside.

Matty and Inder declared (several times) that Halloween is BETTER than Christmas! Matty made an awesome looking Obiwan Kenobi, and I had so much fun dressing up with the kids. I went as a Tavern Wench, to match my little Pirate Wench (aka Sofia). John made it about a block and a half before going home to change, since he felt silly; I thought he made a great Darth Vadar, but I have to agree the mask was really suffocating. I'll have pictures of John up in a few days.

And we were lucky enough to get rid of all the Halloween candy we bought, so all in all this year was a success!

Happy Halloween!!

Well, it's been awhile since I've blogged, me and Matty have been scheduled for something almost every day since school started! But soccer ends on Saturday, so we'll be getting quite a bit of our time back to ourselves again.

I'm putting up some pictures from Smith Family Farms, where we went yesterday to get our pumpkins. The kids and I had a great time....we went on a hay ride, picked our pumpkins, went to the hoot-nanny (yes, I said hoot-nanny), got lost in the corn maze, and took about 175 pictures!

I hope everyone has a safe Halloween.

What a 4th!

We had such a great time for 4th of July! Matty wasn't at all scared of the fireworks this time; he even made it all the way around the edge of pool without any help. And we discovered that the pool is the only thing Sofia seems to be afraid of; she even started to cry when I dove into the pool! On the otherhand, Matty was very impressed by my diving prowess :)

I wish I had taken some 4th of July pictures, but this was the first year I didn't. We started the party about 2 hours later than we usually do, and then our first guest didn't arrive for another hour and a half!! I'm really disappointed, because I've got tons of the Rusty Pickle 4th of July paper, so we may have to do some holiday staging!

Matty, Sofie, Grandma and me had a blast at the Exploratorium on Tuesday, followed by fantastic sundaes at Ghiradelli Square. We had planned on walking across the Golden Gate Bridge, but spent 3 hours at the Exploratorium, and ran out of time. Matty's favorite part of the Exploratorium was either the Alice in Wonderland room (where your perspective is totally skewed by the odd shape of the room), or the cone you drop marbles into, to watch them swirl down the hole. Sofia seemed to like anything involving lights!

Working, working, working

Well, I'm finally almost finished with my twenty original layouts!! Just journaling for three more, and done!! I couldn't have gotten them done today, without John getting the kids out of the house; and Paula was dying to see the kids anyway, so everyone was happy! But, it's only been 8 hours, and I'm miss them tons already!!

I can't wait to be done with these pages, because yesterday I bought the new 7 Gypsies matchbook box, and it's going to be a blast to put it together!!

Fun at the park

Tonight after dinner we took the kids to the park, I wanted to get some pictures of the kids to finish up some 12x12 layouts. Sofie's love of going down the slide provided some fantastic pictures, I can't wait to scrapbook them!!

Summer vaca!

It's been so long since I've had time to blog!! Matty has started summer vacation, and he's having a blast not going to school!! He's really sad that Mr. Hibbard is not going to be his teacher next year.

I don't have any new pictures on this computer yet, but hopefully I will soon!
